Shell Racing Solutions Radical Masters: Zandvoort, First Qualifying

Qualifying for the first race of the Radical Speed Weekend at Zandvoort has just concluded, with Tranzpower’s Jamie Patterson taking the pole spot for this afternoon’s grid.
This is the first time that Radical has visited the former home of the Dutch Grand Prix, a fast and flowing circuit only metres from the beach. With lots of track time this weekend, qualifying was split into two for the first race, the Masters and Supersports classes each getting individual track sessions.
Guest driver Sven Barth set the fastest time overall of 1:38.242, but as a test driver he will not be racing. As a result, second-fastest Patterson, with his time of 1:39.471, lines up first on the grid, with Radical France’s Frederic Rouvier alongside. Radical newcomer Jaap Bartels set a fantastic time to land third, with the 360 Racing pairing of Ross Kaiser and Terrence Woodward in fourth.
The fastest Supersport runners, UK Racing’s Marco Cencetti and Andrea Fausti, qualified fifth in their SR3 RS, with a best time of 1:40.945. Chasing them for class honours will be Thomas Meidinger, Cor Euser and Colin Noble.
